This article analyses the legislation of Brazil and the State of San Pablo on the preservation of the environment and fauna. This legislation condemns the mistreatment of animals, but Brazilian justice does not punish those responsible for animal abuse. The current government dismantled the agencies in charge of inspection and punishment of these crimes.
