Actuellement le fantastique est objet de plusieurs formes de re-signification et de relecture. Grâce aux nouvelles technologies, le genre retrouve un nouveau chemin à travers un ancien artifice : l'image. La transposition médiatique BD du texte littéraire peut renouveler le texte monomodal. Selon Boutin (2012), la BD conjugue multiples modes et « ‘lire' de la bande dessinée, c'est nécessairement se confronter à un message narratif d'une complexité certaine et beaucoup plus dense que ne le laissent présager ses apparences. » Cet article investigue les atouts dont la transposition médiatique BD du conte écrit se servent pour saisir le suspens créé par le texte écrit monomodal fantastique et transformer le lecteur en coproducteur du texte. Pour ce faire, on emprunte une planche de l'adaptation de Guillaume Sorel, Le Horla d'après l'œuvre de Guy de Maupassant (2014).The fantastic has recently been the object of a variety of strategies for its re-signification. Due to new technologies, the genre has found a new path through an old artifice: the image. The mediatic transposition of a literary text to the multimodal language of comics gives new life to canonic texts. According to Boutin (2012), the language of comics brings together multiple modes so that «to read comics is necessarily to face a narrative message of certain complexity and much denser than it might look at first glance». This paper examines the means used in the mediatic transposition of literature to comics, to recreate the suspense present in the monomodal text and to transform the reader into a co-producer of a new text. To do this, it examines an excerpt of Le Horla d'après l'œuvre de Guy de Maupassant (2014) by Guillaume Sorel
