This paper presents initial research results of us ing video analysis based tasks in the educational process of the s tud nts of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Žilina in Ži lina. We represent the research methodology, the form of results ́ processi ng and their evaluation. In the end we report on the research results and th e comparison of a control and the experimental group that has used the method of vi eo analysis as well as of a group comprising of grammar school stu dents.
