Araştırmaya alınan hastaların %52.4’ü erkekti. Hastaların %50’sinin performansı önemli derecede yardıma ihtiyaç duyma (KPS puanı 50) düzeyinde idi. ESAS toplam ölçek puan ortalaması 45.58±12.41 bulundu. Ağrı ve uyuşukluk semptomları ile hastaların performans düzeyi ile bir ilişki saptandı (p<0.05). Hastaların ESAS toplam ölçek puanının yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim ve performans düzeyi etkilenmediği belirlendi (p>0.05).
