Özet Abstract Birçok Avrupa Birliği (AB) ülkesinde Turist Vergisi, Turizm sektörünün tepkilerine rağmen uygulanmaktadır. Yerel yönetimler açısından gelir kaynağı olan bu verginin, yine bölgenin turizm faaliyetinin geliştirilmesi, tanıtımı, çevre ve altyapı sorunlarında kullanılması öngörülmektedir. Bu çalışmada bir ara Türkiye’de de uygulanması gündeme gelen Turist Vergisi, Roma ve Venedik’te uygulama şekliyle incelenerek Türkiye’de uygulanmasına yönelik görüşler sunulacaktır. Many European Union (EU) countries Tourist Tax is applied despite the response of the tourism sector. This tax is a source of revenue for local governments, this tax is intended the development of the tourism activities, presentation, and to be used in the environmental and infrastructure problems. In this study, Tourist tax which is also applied to the agenda in Turkey, tourist tax will be examined with the embodiment in Rome and Venice and opinions will be presented for implementation in Turkey.
