I reject the critique by Haack and Schoeneborn that my AMR 2014 article would be incompatible with the social constructionist nature of institutional theory and that my interpretation of decoupling would be static. As opposed to Haack and Schoeneborn's suggestion, I argue that institutional theory would benefit from both crossing (intra)disciplinary boundaries and reaching out to practitioners.
