Purpose:Thisstudywastoexplorethelong-termefectsofbreastcancerpreventionvolunteeringon self-eficacy,depression,andpostraumaticgrowthamongsurvivorswithbreastcancer.Methods:Thispilot studyutilizedalongitudinaldesign.Participantswere14womenwithbreastcancerwhoparticipatedinthe breastcancerpreventioneducationalprogram.ThedatawerecolectedbetweenFebruaryandAugustin 2013.Self-reportquestionnaireswereusedtomeasuretheself-eficacyforself-managementofbreast cancer,depression,andpostraumaticgrowthatpre-education(T0),1month(T1),3months(T2),and6 months(T3)post-education.Ageneralizedestimatingequationregressionmodelwasusedtoidentifythe efects.Results:Thescoresofself-eficacyincreasedsignificantlyatT1(χ2=5.56,p=.018)andT3(χ2=4.56, p=.033)comparedwithT0.Depressionandpostraumaticgrowthremainedstablewithfairlygoodlevels throughoutthe6-monthperiod.Conclusion:Theresultsofthisstudysuggestthatbreastcancerprevention volunteeringinsurvivorswithbreastcancercanbeefectiveforenhancingtheirself-eficacyand maintainingpsychologicalwel-being.Alsothestudyshowedthatsuchvolunteeringactivitycouldbea usefulprogramnotonlyforthegeneralpublicbutalsoforbreastcancersurvivors. ■ keyword : Breast Neoplasm Self-efficacy Psychological Adaptation Longitudinal Study  :2014 03 25  :2014 04 15  :2014 04 18  :,e-mail:jecha527@snu.ac.kr      ,       257
