This article intends to examine the 285-A article as well the §1of the article 518 of Procedural Law Code. Both articles were created by the 11276/2006 and 11277/2006 rules and generated several discussions about their constitutionality. This study will approach that discussion in order to demonstrate their constitutionality and that their creation assures the application of other constitutional principles, such as certainty in the law and, specially, the right to a reasonable time of jurisdiction, which are extremely important in the brazilian law system. Those principles have to be appreciated when analyzing the constitutionality of the articles 285-A and 518 of the Brazilian Civil procedure Statute.
