This work aims to show if behavioral management is an important factor in the performance of the Executive Secretarial professional. Given the changes that have been occurring over the years for Secretariat professionals and the new aggregate assignments, it is necessary to know how people behave in their work environment. Our goals are: detecting the positions of the Executive Secretariesconcerning the behavioral types with which they relate; and understanding the importance of behavioral management for the professional Executive Secretariat from Federal University of Paraíba and verifying if the behavioral management influences the activities carried out by the Secretary. The methodological procedures used in this study were bibliographic, quantitative, descriptive, field and case study. Questionnaires were usedfor data collection. The research, conducted at the Federal University of Paraíba, campi I and IV, allowed us to know the vision of the professionals concerning the topic addressed. The results of this research demonstrate the professionals’ perception about the daily experience with their coworkers, regarding behavior, and that there was agreement concerning behavior managementas an important factor for the professional’s performance in the currentdays.
