The aim of this study was to adapt the “Tenacious Goal\udPursuit and Flexible Goal Adjustment” and “Goal Disengagement\udand Goal Reengagement” scales into Spanish and\udvalidate them. The sample comprised 681 students from\udthe Faculty of Psychology at Malaga University (Spain).\udExploratory factor analysis showed the same number of\udfactors as the original scales. The scales were validated by\udconfirmatory factor analysis. Cronbach’s alpha, test-retest\udreliability, and correlations between the scales were also\udsimilar to the original scales. Criterion validity was tested by\udcorrelations with measures of positive and negative affect\udand well-being, using a different sample of 201 students.\udDespite the study being limited by the composition of the\udsample (university students), the adapted version showed\udacceptable psychometric properties. Future studies could\udinvestigate how these properties could be improved
