In order to examine the effect of different in let angle and height of furnace side nozzle upon the distribution of flow field, velocity distributing, turbulence intensity, turbulence kinetic energy in a new type coal-water-slurry gasifier with 600kg/h output at cold state was analyzed using numerical simulat ion method. The optimizat ion distribution was observed with the in let angle is 45°and height is 0.9m far from the furnace top, which can be seen as a guidance for designing and operating of this type gasifier.
