Presently Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) are flown in segregated areas, but it is foreseen that in the near future their operation will be conducted in any airspace. This will in turn boost the number of UAV civil applications and the related market. Some results of simulated flight trials of UAVs in segregated and non segregated areas are here presented. The management of such flights is based on a distributed algorithm grounded on Game Theory which supplies maneuvers aimed at providing separation distance among aircraft. The algorithm, previously proposed by the authors, is here generalized to a full three dimensional one and operatively tested. The experimental data show that this algorithm is able to yield separation assurance at a reasonable cost, in terms of flight timings and deviation from optimal trajectory.
