En el marco de una realidad cada vez más globalizada e interdependiente, las familias (in)migrantes y/o trasnacionalesdesarrollan formas de interacción y “vida en familia” que van más allá de las fronteras nacionales. La migración de la mujer –sobre todo en sociedades fuertemente matrifocales-plantea situaciones y dinámicas intrafamiliares complejas que las involucra directamente, tanto en origen como destino, así como a sus familiares dependientes –sobretodo menores- que soportan procesos de separación, adaptación y reorganización familiar. El estudio de la migraciónboliviana a España nos permite ejemplificar este proceso de migración feminizada y familiar, que se mantieneen el tiempo -escasos retornos en el caso de las mujeresbolivianas-, pese a la compleja situación económica y de aumento del desempleo que sufre el país. La informaciónaquí recabada es resultado del trabajo de campo realizadoen Santa Cruz (Bolivia) y Jaén (España), basado en la ejecución de 40 entrevistas en profundidad y exploratorias realizadas a familias migrantes (25), e instituciones sociales(15) de origen y destino. El presente trabajo muestra algunas de las vulnerabilidades más comunes en el caso de los hijos/as que permanecen en origen (carencias afectivas,conflictos conyugales, reagrupación familiar frustrada,etc.) cuando se produce la migración materna. En esta circunstancia,se plantea la necesidad de incluir como usuarios en los programas de intervención social/familiar con (in)migrantes al total de los miembros de la unidad familiar -independientemente del lugar físico en el que se encuentren-. Esta intervención social (des)contextualizada puede ser llamada “Trabajo Social Transnacional”Within the framework of an increasingly globalized and interdependentreality, (im) migrant or transnational families develop ways of daily interaction and “family life” that go beyond national borders. The migration of women -especiallyin societies which place a strong emphasis on motherly roles/mother-centered societies- generates complex and dynamic interfamilial situations that directly involve them, both in origin and destination, as well as dependent family members -especially children- who experience the processesof separation, adaptation and family reorganization. The study of Bolivian migration to Spain allows to illustrate this particular process of the migration of families and women, which remains constant through time -with few Bolivian women returning– despite the difficult economic situation and the current increase in unemployment that the countryis suffering. The information gathered here is the result of fieldwork in Santa Cruz (Bolivia) and Jaén (Spain), and is based on 40 in-depth and exploratory interviews (as well as ethnographic research techniques such as participant observation)with migrant families (25) and social institutions (15) at the origin and destination of migration. The present study shows some of the most common vulnerabilities in the case of children remaining in the country of origin (emotionaldeprivation, marital conflict, frustrated plans of family reunification etc.) when maternal migration occurs. Due to this circumstance, it is necessary to include all members of the family unit as users of the social/familiar intervention programs for (im)migrants -independently of their physical location -.
