El conde de Cedillo –Jerónimo López de Ayala– tradujo al castellano el poema Canigó, de Jacint Verdaguer, y la publicó en Madrid en 1898. Durante el periodo de la traducción de la obra –entre 1896 y 1898– el poeta catalán mantuvo correspondencia con su traductor, que tuvo continuidad a lo largo de los tres años siguientes (hasta 1901, pocos meses antes de la muerte del autor). En este artículo se publican ocho cartas inéditas, que completan la correspondencia del poeta y su traductor (cinco fueron publicadas en el Epistolari de Jacint Verdaguer).Count Cedillo -Jeronimo López de Ayala- translated the poem Canigó by Jacint Verdaguer into Spanish and published it in Madrid in 1898. During the period of the translation of the work between 1896 and 1898 the Catalan poet maintained Correspondence with his translator, which continued throughout the next three years (until 1901, a few months before the death of the author). In this article eight unpublished letters are published, which complete the correspondence of the poet and his translator (five were published in the Epistolari de Jacint Verdaguer)
