In the pseudo-aristotelian Peri kosmou and in its Latin version apuleius’ De mundo there is a classification of earthquakes unparalleled in antiquity. after reviewing in detail the various «scientific≫ studies of earthquakes that were made in ancient world and the types that they suggest, we can say that the classification of Peri kosmou is stoic in origin, which could help us to date this little treatise and also allows us to learn more about its possible influence later.En el pseudo aristotelico Peri kosmou y en su version latina el De mundo de apuleyo aparece una clasificacion de los terremotos sin parangon en la antiguedad. Tras revisar en detalle los diversos estudios “cientificos” de los terremotos que se hicieron entonces y las tipologias de seismos que proponen, podemos afirmar que la clasificacion del Peri kosmou es de origen estoico, lo cual nos podria ayudar a datar este pequeno tratado y a saber algo mas sobre su posible influencia posterior
