El arte, lejos de permanecer ajeno a los cambios de su estructura social, provocada por los dramas sociales que describe Victor Turner, acompaña el fenómeno social y antropológico que produjo una revisión sobre el sentido del cuerpo, pasando éste de ser sólo objeto de representación, a constituirse en herramienta, soporte y material de las prácticas artísticas. Se produce entonces, lo que podríamos considerar un cambio de paradigma del cuerpo en el arte. El cuerpo se vuelve soporte de reivindicaciones, una herramienta de comunicación de ideales y un vehículo contestatario privilegiado. El cuerpo se convierte en un material de creación y destrucción, un vehículo de provocación al servicio de la libertad de expresión. Los artistas, le confieren una nueva dimensión al cuerpo utilizándolo de distintas maneras; así, lo describimos dentro del Performance Art (Body Art, Behavior Art), como arte Conceptual en Movimiento.Art, far from being foreign to the changes of its social structure, provoked by the social dramas that Victor Turner describes, accompanies the social and anthropological phenomenon that produced a revision regarding the meaning of the body, from being an object of representation to constructing itself in a tool, a foundation and material of artistic practices. It produces then, what we could consider a change of paradigm of the body in art. The body becomes the subject of vindications, a tool for communication ideals and a privileged protest vehicle. The body turns to a material of creation and destruction, a provocation vehicle to the service of freedom of expression. The artists, bestow a new dimension to the body using it in different ways; this way, it is described inside of the Performance Art (Body Art, Behavior Art), like a conceptual Art in movement
