The necessary distance to the news has led us to consider objectivity, neutrality, impartiality and independence as synonyms of equidistance. Those features of current journalism made reporting aseptic, based on the model of confrontation between statements by two sources (“She said - he said”). It has been required to be corrected precisely from the concept of objectivity. In this article, the elements of objectivity as the journalistic method will be discussed, as well as the most employed content analysis indicators to analyze objectivity in the context of news quality. That way, the degree of objectivity of news in different Spanish media will be assessed, in order to check whether objective news has no place in left and right-winged media, along with the journalistic rigor
