. Underground laboratories (ULs) offer more and more opportunitiesfor their usage. Still, one of the most critical parameters describing ULsis their natural radioactivity. Therefore, the article compares the six ULsof the BSUIN (Baltic Sea Underground Innovation Network) and EUL (EmpoweringUnderground Laboratories Network Usage) projects regarding their naturalradioactivity. Measurements include in situ and laboratory analysis of thecollected rock and water samples, using various nuclear spectrometrytechniques. The lowest level of natural radioactivity characterizes saltdeposit is in the Conceptual Lab development co-ordinated by KGHM CuprumR&amp;amp;D centre.
