The rainfall and lightning activity associated with threedepressions which affected the area of Cyprus were studied in order toidentify possible relationships between them. The lightning data wereprovided by the National Observatory of Athens, Greece, and were spatiallyand statistically related to the corresponding rainfall measurements fromthe rain gauge network of the Cyprus Meteorological Service.
