Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) is a DNAfingerprinting technique that allows genotyping of DNA polymorphisms, mainlysingle nucleotide substitutions (SNP), across the whole genome with high multiplexratio and without the need of their prior knowledge. We have successfully combinedAFLP with selective genotyping for mapping of quantitative trait loci (QTL) in a F<sub>2</sub>resource population based on Duroc and Berlin Miniature pig (DUMI) (WIMMERS etal., 2002).
