Kurita Water Industries Ltd, only selected by NEDO as the water treatment company in Polymer Elecrolyte Fuel Cell (PEFC) project of Japan, is developing water treatment system essential for the stationary PEFC system based on experience from Phosporic Acid Fuel Cell (PAFC) . In order to attain maintenance-free demanded from the fuel cell maker etc. strongly, Kurita developed the original electric de-ionization unit, micro KCDI R which was developed and miniaturized with original technology and would replace ion-exchange resin unit used normally. We will report our new water treatment system for PEFC using micro KCDI R. This development of water treatment is subsidized by NEDO.
