Experimento en primera persona —incluso como victi-ma— el poder gigantesco que puede adquirir el mal en el mundo y cuya consecuen-cia mas grave ha sido la muerte de millones de vidas humanas. Guerras mundiales, guerras fratricidas, totalitarismos, abortos, abusos, eutanasias, torturas fisicas y mo-rales, atentados terroristas, etc. Como el mismo manifesto no ha sido un mal de edicion reducida, sino un mal que se ha servido de las estructuras estatales para llevar a cabo su obra nefasta, un mal elevado a sistema. Pero el mysterium iniquitatis que representa esa abundancia de mal no ha conseguido, en el mismo mundo, des-truir el bien, ni ha impedido su difusion ni su crecimiento. Mas aun, el Papa procla-mo con la fuerza de su vida y de su fe que, aunque el mal parezca invencible, nunca lo sera porque tiene un limite que quiebra su potencia y que se llama misericordia.
