The article analyzes the generation of knowledge and the learning process in S&T infrastructures linked to the MCTI from data collected by the Ministry in partnership with CNPq. Starting from a characterization of infrastructure in relation to scientific areas, the type of activity carried out (research, teaching, technical service, extension and technological development), interaction with external agents and a cluster analysis was possible to characterize the structures in 3 groups.
