In this work, was developed a ethnographic nature study, which is inserted in the studies on literacy specifically the academic literacy. It places in the Faculdade de Formação de Professores-UERJ, São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro to the undergraduate courses in Portuguese-Literature and Portuguese-English in which are incorporated reading and writing practices mediated by the disciplines in which students share languages and knowledge with their teachers. For the study in question, the focus is directed to the Discipline Monograph Project; Preparatory to the final work of course completion CBT, also known as Monograph. Therefore, it is assumed that there are different ways of being literate (GOULART, 2005). Even in highly ritualized contexts such as the academic (WILSON, 2005), which provide for a homogenous and more standardized writing according to principles based on rationality, objectivity and scientificity, writing is understood as being heterogeneously constituted and permeated by different voices BAKHTIN, 2003, 1993 and CORREA, 2004).
