This paper discusses the importance of multimedia tools for creating educational digital games. The main objective is to identify and validate interactions patterns, attributes other aspects concerning the digital educational puzzle games genre, so that it can help to build a dedicated multimedia tool. For this, we’ve initially collected the theoretical framework of the concepts of multimedia tools and educational digital games. It also shows the analysis twelve puzzles apps based on the benchmarking technique, following the validation from the analysis protocol built on the concepts provided by the theories. Finally, we present our conclusions and possible future discussions.
