In mild and moderate idiopathic scoliosis (IS), posterior onlyinstrumentation and fusion can provide satisfactory reduction. However in severeand rigid curvatures, combined anterior and posterior fusion is generallyrequired. In this study we have aimed to evaluate the efficacy of posterior onlyinstrumentation in severe thoracolumbar scoliosis clinically and radiologicallyand compare these results with the literature.
