However utilizing rich, interactive solutions can make learning moreeffective and attractive, scenario- and game-based educational resources on theweb are not widely used. Creating these applications is a complex, expensiveand challenging process. Development frameworks and authoring tools hardlysupport reusable components, teamwork and learning managementsystem-independent courseware architecture. In this article we initiate theconcept of a low-level, thick-client solution addressing these problems. Withsome example applications we try to demonstrate, how a framework, based on thisconcept can be useful for developing scenario- and game-based e-learningenvironments.
