ケ トンの不斉還元 およびアルデ ヒ ドの不斉アルキル化 は,光 学活性第2ア ルコールを合成す る手法 として有効 で ある。近年,こ れらの反応 に極めて有効 な不斉源が, 相次 いで開発 されている。 その一つ に,オ キサ ザボ ロ リジ ン1が あ る。1aの 開 発 の契機 となった研 究 は,伊 津 野 らに よる(S)-2-ア ミ ノー3一メチル-1,1-ジ フェニルブタン-1-オ ール(ジ フェニ ルバ リノール)と ボ ラン との錯体 によるケ トンの不 斉還 元1)であ る。Coreyら は,こ のア ミノアル コール とボ ラ ンとの反応 生成物 の単離 を行 うと共 に,そ の1H-NMR, 11B-NMR ,IRス ペ ク トルを詳細 に検討 した。その結果, まず オキサザボ ロリジン誘導体が生成 し,こ れ とボラ ン との錯 体 が還元剤 と して働 いてい る ことを明 らか に し た。 これ らの知 見 を基 に,よ り立体 的 に リジ ッ ドな1a をデザ インし,こ れ を用いたボ ランに よる触媒 的不斉還 元 を実現 してい る2)。ここで用 いた1aは,空 気 や湿気 に対 して不安定であ る。そ こで,秤 量 の際に安定で あ り
