Essex-Lopresti骨折は比較的稀な骨折である.粉砕した橈骨頭骨折に生体内吸収性骨接合材(SuperFIXSORB-MX)を使用し,良好な結果が得られたので報告する.症例は 26歳男性,約 2.5 mの高さから 転落して左手をついて受傷,翌日当院に紹介となった.左肘,前腕,手関節に腫脹と疼痛を認めた.画像 検査にて橈骨頭粉砕骨折,尺骨頭の背側脱臼,および骨間膜の損傷を認め,Essex-Lopresti骨折 type 1 と診断した.粉砕した橈骨頭骨片を DTJミニスクリューで固定し,腸骨から採取した骨を移植して,吸 収性プレートを用いて骨幹部と固定した.遠位橈尺関節は不安定性を認めたため,一時的に K-wireを用 いて固定を行った.術後 7ヶ月で骨癒合しており,関節可動域も概ね良好であり,合併症は認めていない. 粉砕した橈骨頭骨折に対する骨接合材として,生体内吸収性骨接合材は有用であった.
