Cellular components, collagen and proteoglycan of bone tissue were reported to have immunogenisity. But immunogenisity of collagen and proteoglycan are weak. Cellular components of bone tissue which express MHC antigen play key role of graft rejection in fresh bone allotransplantation.The purpose of this study was to detect MHC antigen expressing cells in bone tissue using immunohistochemistry.Following conclusions were obtained through this study.(1) Expression of MHC class I antigen was found in osteocyte and osteoblast.(2) Expression of MHC class I antigen in osteocyte and osteoblast showed diversity.(3) Canal containing cells of vessels in cortical bone express MHC class I and class II antigens.(4) The expression of MHC antigens on bone tissue may be influenced by allo-antigen stimulation.(5) The expression of MHC antigens in osteocyte and osteoblast could be detected after decalcification of the bone tissue.
