however, only a few applicationsof their use have been reported until now. In this study, three important chiral compounds, 1,1'-bi-2-naphthol (BNO), 1,1'-binaphthyl-2,2'-diamine (BNA), 2,2,2-trifluoro-1-(9-anthryl)ethanol (TFAE), were used for testingthe five Pirkle-type chiral stationary phases. The resolutionresults were compared to those of commercially availablechiral columns.The chiral separation results of 2,2,2-trifluoro-1-(9-anthr-yl)ethanol (TFAE) on CSP 1-CSP 5 are shown in Figure 2.As shown in Figure 2, the enantiomers of TFAE wereseparated on all five chiral columns, especially, very wellresolved on CSP 4.
