The present study is an excerpt of the master’s research in progress and aims to present the definition of regular bodies adopted by the Italian friar Luca Pacioli (1447-1517) in his treatise entitled De Divina Proportione, published in 1509, listing some cases considered possible and impossible under the conditions described by the author. With the intention of collaborating in the teaching of Spatial Geometry on regular bodies, this study brings some details about the definition used by the friar, listing relevant characteristics and examples of situations brought up in the treatise. Realizing, through this study, that teaching about regular bodies through the properties cited by Luca Pacioli can contribute to the understanding of concepts on this theme, it is idealized to carry out a the following steps are idealized to carry out actions that contribute to the training of mathematics teachers and, consequently, of their students of Basic Education.
