This research analyses the applications of digital photogrammetry from a contemporary perspective establishing alternative ways of considering the surveying of constructed reality and a built heritage that does not always have to be based on the conventional geometries we tend to imagine when we think of architectural heritage. With digital photogrammetric techniques, reality, captured in a photographic database, will have a correlation with a cloud of millions of qualified points with regard to their position in space and their colour, whose rigour will allow to model it in the virtual space. The hypothesis considered in this research is that this point cloud is, in fact, part of a new graphic code and not just a new way to access the spatial codes characteristic of a particular technology. Swapping lines for points, that is, the replacement of a well-known and effective graphic code in which architectural drawing is based considering lines as the basic elements of graphic representation we propose a new graphic narrative –only possible through digital technologieswhere the point, as the basis of geometry in space, plays the leading role.
