PERBANDINGAN KARAKTER TOKOH UTAMA PADA NOVEL ATAN (BUDAK PULAU) KARYA ARY SASTRA DAN FILM LASKAR ANAK PULAU PRODUKSI KOMUNITAS FILM BATAM

This research is a descriptive qualitative which aims at describing the characters of the main character found in a novel entitled ATAN( ANAK PULAU) written by Ary Sastra and the characters of the main character of a film entitled LASKAR ANAK PULAU produced by Komunitas Film Batam. The data were analyzed, classified, and interpreted by reffering to the elements that help build character marker. The techniques used in analysing the data: (1) the utterances of the narrator, (2) the utterances og the main character, (3) the utterances of another character, (4) the perspective of the character, (5) the setting, and (6) the physical appearance of the character. Finally, it was found that there were many similarities of the characters the main character in the novel and movie mentioned above.
