espanolLa eclosion de las carreras por montana y el incremento de deportistas es un hecho constatable en la ultima decada. La granvariedad de modalidades de competicion de esta especialidad, permite a los participantes seleccionar el grado de exigencia acorde a susposibilidades; por ello la estrategia es un factor determinante para el exito del deportista. El objetivo de este estudio fue validar,cualitativamente con el Metodo Delphi, un instrumento denominado Analisis de la Estrategia en Carreras por Montana (AECM) conel proposito de valorar las estrategias de los corredores en carreras de montana antes de la competicion. A partir de una revisionbibliografica se determinaron tres factores de influencia en esta modalidad deportiva: a) propios de la competicion, b) intrinsecos deldeportista, y c) mixtos: producto de la interaccion competicion-deportista. En base a estos factores se elaboro una primera propuesta delcuestionario que un panel de expertos valido en dos rondas teniendo en cuenta tres criterios: univocidad, pertenencia e importancia. Altermino de esta validacion se obtuvieron 27 items de este instrumento, contestandolos en una escala de Likert de uno a cinco; posteriormentese aplico en una prueba piloto con una muestra de 25 deportistas en la Montsec Ultra Trail (MUT), carrera puntuable en el calendarioInternational Trail Running Association (ITRA). Los resultados nos muestran que el cuestionario AECM puede ser una herramienta utilpara detectar los puntos fuertes y debiles antes y despues, de la competicion de los corredores de carreras de montana. EnglishThe boom of mountain races is a fact in both professional and amateur cases. The wide variety of competitions allows athletesto mark a different degree of exigency in each case but also affects the type of preparation that must be carried out. Strategy followed oneach race will be a determining factor for the success of an athlete. The purpose of the present study was to create and validate aninstrument aiming to study this aspect of the competition, called «Analysis of the Mountain Race Strategy» (AMRS), through theDelphi method with the participation of a panel of experts formed by 5 coaches with more than 10 years of experience in their profession.Based on a bibliographic review, three attributable influence factors were determined: a) the Competition, b) the Athlete, and c) the mixedone: Competition and Athlete. This starting point allowed preparing the first draft of the questionnaire which was validated twice by thepanel of experts considering three items: univocity, relevance, and importance. At the end of this validation process a consensus on 27statements that future runners will respond using a Likert scale (one to five) was reached. Finally, a pilot test with a sample of 25 athleteswas performed at the MUT (Montsec Ultra Trail), a scoring race in the calendar of the ITRA (International Trail Running Association).The AMRS can be a useful tool to detect strengths and weaknesses of participants in this sport before competition
