Correct forecasting of energy demand will make an important contribution to the implementation of energy, socio-economic and environmental policies and ensure the sustainable development of the country. Therefore, the selection of an appropriate energy forecasting model will play an important role in setting appropriate strategies and policies in the future. This article will synthesize energy forecasting models in the world, in-depth exploration of the POLES model and consider its applicability in energy forecasting in Vietnam.
