完全水素添加 (FH) 油配合飼料の長期摂取がラットの消化管組織形態に及ぼす影響をセルロース (CE) と比較検討した。ショ糖の10%をカノーラFH油の微粉末で置換した飼料と, 同様にCEで置換した飼料を調製し, それぞれラットに5カ月間与えた。投与5カ月後に解剖し, 消化管組織形態の検索を行った。また血清の生化学検査, 肝臓重量を測定した。その結果, 胃, 小腸, 盲腸, 結腸には, FH群, CE群ともに病理組織学的な変化は認められなかった。また, 肝臓重量体重比, 血清生化学検査値にも, FH油の影響は認められなかった。本成績より, FH油を比較的長期に摂取した場合, 消化管組織に及ぼす影響はCEと同等であることが認められた。
