Le mil ( Pennicetum glaucum ) L.R.Br constitue 75% de la production cerealiere du Niger. Cependant, son rendement est tres faible du a plusieurs types de contraintes. La maladie du mildiou du mil cause par un champignon Sclerospora graminicola (Sacc) Schroet, occupe une place importante. L’objectif de cette etude est de generer des combinaisons des methodes de gestion integree du mildiou en vue d’ameliorer le rendement du mil au Niger. Trois facteurs (varietes, densite du semis et fongicide) sont mis en jeu dans un dispositif experimental split-plot en trois repetitions. Les donnees relatives a l’incidence 40 jours apres semis, la severite du mildiou a la recolte et le rendement grain sont collectees et soumises a l’analyse de variance et au test des effets. L’etude a montre que la combinaison V3-DS2 dont les taux d’incidence et severite du mildiou du mil sont respectivement 0,5% et 0,74% est celle qui permet une augmentation significative du rendement grain qui passe de 591,7 kg / ha pour V3-DS1 a 1063,8 kg / ha pour V3-DS2. De meme la combinaison V1-D2 est celle dont l’influence sur le mildiou du mil fait passer le rendement grain de 892,8 kg / ha pour V1-D1 a 1020,2 kg / ha pour V1-D2. Les interactions V3-DS2-D2 et V1-DS2-D2 sont les meilleures combinaisons enregistrant les plus grands rendements grains respectivement 1377 kg / ha et 1149 kg / ha. Il ressort de cette etude qu’outre la variete resistante, les combinaisons variete-densite du semis, variete-fongicide et variete-densite-fongicide peuvent etre utilisees pour controler le mildiou du mil. © 2017 International Formulae Group.
