工学教育(J.of JSEE), 65–3(2017) 1.はじめに 工学・技術の進歩とそれを担う人材を育成するために は,その重要性について中等教育の初期である中学校の 理科・技術科から言及することが効果的であると考え ている.さらに,自然科学上の原理・原則に重点を置く 思考型の理学教育と同時に,実用化を重視する工学教育 を教育の初期段階から導入する必要がある. 著者の丸山は,初等・中等教育を主体とし,高等教育 (大学)までの教育に携わっている.一方中條 は,大学を主体として,初等・中等教育の場で講座 等を実施している.この両者の研究内容を共有すること で明らかとなったのは,工学教育の入り口とも言える中 学での技術科が過小評価されており,その重要性を理科 と結びつけることで,生徒の関心を大いに高められるこ とであった.そこで,理科・技術科学習から工学教育に つなげる視点を持った教育システムの開発および教育効 果の検証を行ったので,ここに新たな成果を提案する.
