Diabetes mellitus is a chronic, lifelong condition that affects our body physiology. Untreated diabetes mellitus causes diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy and diabetic neuropathy, auto immune diseases, polyuria, polydipsia, loss of weight, and cardiovascular diseases. The use of medications for the treatment of diabetes mellitus causes adverse effects with long-term use, and sometimes leads to death. Today, researchers are working on the discovery of new anti-diabetes drugs from plants with low or no adverse effects. From this point of view, the present work was conducted to evaluate the anti-diabetic activity of Zornia gibbosa Span.
