Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) surely has played\uda fundamental role in the design of the bodies and\udshapes of both commercial and racing vehicles in the\udlast decades. This circumstance was mainly due to the\udconnected substantial improvement in the design timings\udand to the possibility of producing numerous flow field\udand surface data that are difficult to obtain from a\udphysical experimental method. Such a local analysis\udleads to a further understanding of the interactions of\udcomponents with the overall aerodynamics.\udThe development of wing performances, with respect to\udracing vehicles, has to deal with very short times but\udalso with a very detailed description of the physics\udoccurring. Starting from these constraints, a coupling\udprocedure was developed by the joining of a CFD code\udwith a Finite Element Method (FEM) structural code to\udbetter evaluate the aerodynamic performance of the\udwing deformed under the fluid dynamic loads. Combined\udwith experimental data, these insights allow a better\udunderstanding of the involved flow mechanisms\udThe codes coupling has been managed as it follows: the\udfluid dynamic pressure loads have been passed to the\udstructural solver. The output, in terms of airfoil\uddeformation, has been re-imported into the CFD solver\udin order to compute the updated fluid dynamic field.\udThese steps have to be repeated till the reaching of the\udconvergence of the fluid dynamic and deformation fields.\udThe final result consists of the fluid dynamic field around\udthe deformed configuration of the wing.\udThe described procedure has been applied to a standard\udracing vehicle front wing, which was tested under\uddifferent operating conditions in terms of vehicle speed\udand angle of attack. Results obtained are encouraging\udand suggest to further investigate the possibilities\udoffered by this procedure
