The mathematical equivalence between homogeneity of any matter and uniqueness of experimental results obtained from repeating the test with different samples involve that the study of the sampling is required only if the matter is heterogeneous regarding the property which is being studied. Thus the sampling of slag from the industrial wastes of the Tredi Plant (in Strasbourg) must be carried out regarding the determination of the content and the leaching but is not needed regarding the heat treatment and leaching of the heat-treated slag in the testing conditions. L'équivalence mathématique entre l'homogénéité d'une matière et l'unicité des résultats expérimentaux obtenus lors de la répétition de l'essai avec différents échantillons fait que l'étude de l'échantillonnage ne se pose que si la matière est hétérogène pour la propriété étudiée. C'est ainsi que l'échantillonnage du mâchefer de déchets industriels du centre de Trédi (Strasbourg) se pose pour la teneur et la lixiviation et ne se pose pas pour le traitement par recristallisation et la lixiviation de ce mâchefer recristallisé dans les conditions des essais.
