The experimental works consist of a serie of pyrolysis at 350°C on three polystyrene standard samples with various molecular weight (Mn) and a polydispersity index close to unity. We have monitored the evolution of Mn as well as the quantity of oligomers and styrene formed during the pyrolysis using the Gel Permeation Chromatography. From this investigation, we can show that the main mechanisms are on the dependance of the macromolecular lenght of the initial polymer. Trois échantillons de polystyrène standard de différents degrés de polymérisation et d'indice de polydispersité proche de l'unité ont été pyrolysés à 350°C. La masse moyenne en nombre, la quantité d'oligomères et de styrène formés ont été déterminés par chromatographie par perméation de gel. Les résultats obtenus ont permis de montrer que la fréquence des principaux mécanismes radicalaires dépendait de la longueur de la chaîne macromoléculaire du polystyrène initial.
