プリズム眼鏡装用を行なった乳児内斜視97例を対象に斜視角変化に及ぼす要因を検討した。斜視角変化は78Δ減少から20Δ増加(平均22.8±20.2Δの減少)が認められ、20Δ以上の減少が47例(48.5%)、10Δ19Δの減少が23例(23.7%)、9Δ以内の増減が26例(26.8%)、10Δ以上の増加は1例(1.0%)であった。斜視角の減少は、初診時の斜視角が40Δ以上の例で26.3±20.6Δ、40Δ未満の例で11.5±14.0Δと両群間に有意差があった(p<0.001)。さらに、初診時斜視角と斜視角減少の間には有意な正の相関があった(r=0.363,p<0.001)。屈折値、交代性上斜位の有無、プリズム装用開始月齢との関連はなかった。
