ハンフリー自動視野計のスクリーニングプログラムを用いて、周辺視野を測定できるプログラムP-16 (Peripheral 16 points)を考案した。本プログラムは約1分という短時間で測定できるので、閾値検査24-2測定後でも簡単に測定できた。本プログラムP-16を、緑内障78名134眼、網膜色素変性症2名4眼、半盲2名4眼で測定した。P-16を測定輝度24dbと10dBで測定し、これとプログラム24-2のmean deviationから緑内障の病期分類を自動視野計でも判定することが可能であった。他の疾患においても、周辺視野を把握することができ、日常外来で簡単に行える有用なプログラムと思われた。
