【Purpose】Clinical placement can be an important part of curriculum in Orthoptic schools. Now as various clinical facilities are available we feel better training can be provided to students by analyzing the content of clinical training and the level of studentʼs satisfaction in these three facilities University Hospital, General Hospital and Eye Clinic. 【Subjects and Methods】The target group for the questionnaire was 57 undergraduate students in March 2015, before their graduation from Osaka college of Medical Welfare. We collected 171 papers, 3papers per person on 10 February 2015, each filled out voluntarily and anonymously. 【Results】The average of the number of examinations and observations displayed no significant differences between the three facilities. The average level of studentsʼ satisfaction for a maximum of 20 was18.55+-0.60 at the University Hospital, 16.84±0.32 at the General Hospital, and 17.79± 0.63 at the Eye Clinic, respectively. The correlation coefficients of the average of the number of examinations and the average level of studentsʼ satisfaction were r=0.401 at the University Hospital, r=0.439 at the General Hospital, and r=0.429 at the Eye Clinic, respectively. The average of the number of observations and the level of studentsʼ satisfaction displayed no correlation in any of the facilities. 【Conclusion】The more the students carried out eye examinations of patients, the better the satisfaction they had, in all the facilities. According to the self-evaluation questionnaire, the studentsʼ satisfaction was highest for those who trained at the University Hospital. The contents of clinical placement and observation are not only due to three facilities but also each facility. We can provide clinical placement base on the practical professional education if we understand the character of each facility and each students.
