In recent years, many companies tend to introduce surface inspection systems into their factories, for purposes of quality control and cost reduction by labor saving. Moreover, some companies are asked by their customers to introduce such systems. Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. Has developed and sold in-line surface inspection systems for sheets manufactured by continuous production, for about 10 years. In this paper, we give an outline of our surface inspection system with CCD (Charge Coupled Device) camera, LSC-300.
