2. The aorist participle apd the aspects The aorist participle is formed by adding -antl-at= (acthre) , -anaor -mdna(raiddle) tu the stem. It is well attested in the Rig-Veda, but only sporadically in other Mantra texts,7) which shows a distribution parallei to that ofthe modal forms ofthe aorist stem.8> Most of the attestation belong to the root-aorist.9) Only few paniciples are made from the a-aorist and, probably secondarily, from two s-aorists, dhdksat(dah) and sdksat-fsdksant(sah) .iO)
