Time variation of the fine-structure constant α=e2/h c can be accurately probed using absorption or emission lines seen in the spectra of distant quasars. It is demonstrated that high sensitivity to the variation of the fine structure constant α can be obtained from a comparison of the spectra of quasars and laboratories over the cosmological time scales t-1010yr. We present the results of a detailed Thong method analysis performed on a new sample of C III, N V, Mg II, Al III and Si IV doublet absorptions systems over the redshifts spanning 0.4939≤ Ζ ≤2.2312 . We derive limit of Δα/α=(0.21±0.3)×10-5. This result is the strongest constraint on based on the analysis of high redshift quasar absorption line systems in the literate
