Recycling technique of wastes of paper pipe which are produced in the textile industry was discussed in this paper. The paper pipes were reused for the partition of the double walls construction and were set horizontally and vertically in the space. The temperature distributions in the construction were measured and the effective thermal conductivity was evaluated from the temperature results. In order to investigate the phenomena of thermal radiation and natural convection heat transfer in the space of double walls, two kinds of materials such as brass and black rubber were selected as vertical walls. Moreover, the heat transfer rate by natural convection in the enclosure with inner pipes were measured by using pure water as working fluid.Satisfactory results in insulating property could be obtained in the case where the paper pipes were set horizontally in the space between vertical walls with high emissivity. In the case of wall materials with low emissivity, it is noted that the paper pipe sometime promotes the effective heat conductivity. Fairly small thermal conductivity can be obtained in the case where the synthetic fabrics were inserted inside the paper pipe.This is a first step of our investigation about the recycling system of waste of paper pipe, and the results were obtained only for the special case of experiments. The results obtained here, however, show possibility for contributing toward the material recycling of waste of paper pipe.
